Reading and math is all about practice!  Students will learn and practice with me during instruction time in the classroom.  Students will have reading and math homework Monday through Thursday nights.    

Social Studies/Science -- Time will be allocated each week to include Social Studies and Science Standards for Grade 2.  Students will generally have multiple days to work on assignments before they are due.  

P.E.  -- Students are expected to complete 200 minutes of P.E. every 10 days.  This will be taken care of each week during school hours.

DELD -- For English learners, we will have a separate instruction time each day for 30 minutes.  We will use our ELD Workbooks during this time together. 

Assessments

Students will be given reading tests once a week.  Students will be given math quizzes throughout learning units (i.e. place value) and math tests at the end of learning units.  For Social Studies and Science, students will be graded on assignments and in class activities. 

Feedback

Grades will be based on the Chino Valley USD grading rubric 1-4.  Grades will be based on how well students complete assignments and tests.  Grades and feedback will be submitted on progress reports and report cards.
