Spanish 1 Period sub for Per.1/Per.3

Classwork: Capítulo: Lección 4 “Los Pasatiempos”
- Práctica 4(Can use online textbook to listen to audio conversation),5 (Write out complete sentences)
- Study Vocab./Gram. (Picture cards Tutorial 1-5 / flash cards)
- Firedrill 3^rd period at 11:15-11:45 (Evacuate to #153 which is near tennis courts) take attendance and give to counselor that will be collecting forms. Thank you.

I will be giving one last chance to all students that did not get their songs printed and turned in on time to submit them on Thursday, December 12, 2024 for half credit. It needs to be the entire song if you are writing it out and not just half of it.

Make sure you have your name, date, period, and seat number.

Día de los muertos 20 extra credit points see me if interested. It is not just attending it is helping out with the event and participating in three activities. I will give you more information in class.

The QR on this flier is for those that are attending event and for those helping at the event (Taco Truck headcount).

You will need to participate in three activities and one will be the singing of our classroom songs that we have been learning. You are free to select two others that you would like to help out with. Please wait for all instructions given to students in class on Friday the 25th.

Estudiantes,

It is important for all students to come to class on time. We have had many tardies this school in the first 10weeks of school. Please make an effort to leave 5min. early so you can get to school on time. This has become a daily disruption (door knocking) and it is also interfering with instruction/learning.

Most of the tardies are 1st period as we can see. Detentions have been given, emails sent out including your parent and counselor.

These are all the tardies we have as of now.

Make-up assessments for Thursday Oct.3, has been switched to Tuesday morning at 7:30am due to Staff Meeting.

The new song is on my teacher page ready for you to print and practice :

This will give you all from Friday-Monday to print it out. It will be assigned on Monday, and it will be
due on Tuesday. It is worth 40pts.

Estudiantes,

I have been receiving a lot of makeup work with missing information. I have gone over this information for the past three weeks, shown examples many times and I am still not receiving makeup work the way it should be.

Email needs to include the following:

Subject line: Name of student, Class you are in, your Period

Body of email needs to include:

a picture of my calendar page that includes the date of your absences/classwork/homework/assessments

a picture of all your completed work labeled correctly.

Here are some pictures of examples once again.

Also reminder that if you are absent one day you allowed one day to make work up, if you are absent two days then you are allowed two to makeup work. All work is posted on my teacher calendar page.

Estudiantes,

A few of you did not have your first homework assignment which was the maps that needed to be labeled and colored. I will be offering half credit on the maps this time and only this time. If you have today in class you will need to bring it to me for half credit if it is fully complete or a few points if it is not complete. I will need it no later than tomorrow.

Just keep in mind that I do not accept late work for half credit but I am willing to accept it this time for the map. Being that this was the first assignment that went into the grade book those that did not have it now have a very low grade in the class.

Make sure that you all have your H.W. completed and turned in on time. Also make sure that you participate and complete all classwork daily to receive all points for that day.

Make sure you have your textbooks daily. I have given daily reminders this week and as of Monday next week if you don't have it your grade for that day will be Zero grade.

Estudiantes,

I wanted to remind you that if, for some reason, you are not able to print at home, they you will need to write everything out on paper, but H.W. will still be due the following day.

Also, if you already know you are not able to print, make sure you go to the library during lunch or after school to print. If, for some reason, you were not able to, then once again you will need to write out your work on a sheet of paper.

Make sure you all have what is needed for our class:

Daily materials needed: Textbook, sharpened pencils, black or blue pen, red pen, lined paper, notebook for notes, and homework.

One last thing, make sure you add your Name, Spanish Calls, Period to all your emails on the Subject line. Ex.
