Second Step is an evidenced-based, supplemental socio-emotional curriculum provided to support all CVUSD students in TK through 8th grade. The Second Step curriculum supports students in building strong social-emotional skills such as responsible decision making, working with peers to solve problems, managing strong emotions, setting goals, and getting along with others. These skills can help children succeed academically and socially. The curriculum is provided through teacher-delivered lessons using a digital platform approach.
