Hello families,

We only have 64 days until the DC/NYC trip!  

 

The students have chosen their roommates for the trip. If your student did not choose their roommates, please have them go to Mrs. Valleroy's classroom (506) before the end of school on Friday 1/17/25.   Each room will have 4 students.  

 

Also, adult chaperones on the trip will need to respond to the email sent separately with their requests for roommates, if any.  There are 2 adults per room.  If you desire a single room, you will need to contact STA and pay an additional fee. If you would like to room with your student, you must request a double occupancy room for you and double occupancy for your student and contact STA to pay the additional fee for both.

 

Please have all students join our trip REMIND which we will use daily throughout the trip. Parents may join this REMIND if interested; please note all REMIND messages will be in East Coast Time, 3 hours earlier than California Time. Parents, please list the name of your student in your 'name' title. (ie. Claudia parent of Harry)

Please download the Medical Consent form in case you have not returned your form to school yet.  Please complete this form and return it to room 506 or the office for all student and adult chaperones attending the trip. A district Medical Form will need to be filled out if your student is currently under a prescribed medication that will need to be administered during the trip. Please have your student come by my room 506 to pick up this form as it needs to be completed by your doctor.

 

Finally, the mandatory parent & student meeting to go over packing and other information for the trip will be on Monday, February 3rd from 6-7pm in the TJHS Media Center.  

 

At the meeting we will be collecting $10-$20 cash from each participant in order to tip the tour guides and bus drivers that will take such great care of us during the trip. (bus drivers and guides in each city)
